Indianized Macarroni

Ingredients:


Macarroni           -  300 gms
Onions                -  2 nos
Tomatoes            -  3 nos
Green chillies       -  2 nos
Red chili powder -  1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder -  1 tea spoon
Garam masala      -  1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds     -  1 table spoon
Black gram dal    -  1 tea spoon
Bengal gram dal  -  1 tea spoon
Cooking oil         -  4 table spoons
Salt to taste

1.  Take 1 liter of water in a bowl and bring it to boil.
2.  Add the macaronni, salt and turmeric powder and allow it to cook till done.
3.  Drain the excess water and wash thoroughly.
4.  Heat a kadai and add oil.
5.  Add mustard, black gram dal and bengal gram dal.
6.  Once the dals turn brown and mustard crackles add the chopped green chillies and onions.
7.  Once the onion is cooked add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook till it turns soft.
8.  Now add salt, (only for the vegetable. We have already cooked the macaronni in salt), red chili powder and garam masala.
9.  Mix it thorouhghly and add the cooked macarroni.
10.Mix so that the masala and the macarroni are blended.
11.Cook for 5 -8 mins.
12.Indianized Macarroni ready.
