Ingredients:
Semiya - 250 gms
Onions - 1 no
Green chillies - 2 nos
Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Black gram dal - 1 tea spoon
Bengal gram dal - 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves - few leaves
Coriander - 1 table spoon(finely chopped)
Cooking oil - 2 table spoons
Salt to taste
1. Heat 1/2 tablespoon of oil and add the semiya and fry it.
2. Now remove it once it turns golden brown and add the balance oil.
3. Add mustard seeds, bengal gram dal and black gram dal.
4. Once the dals turn light brown add chopped onions, curry leaves and chopped green chillies.
5. Once they are cooked add water, the fried semiya and salt to taste.
6. Keep it closed and cook for a few mins.
7. Remove the lid and stir.
8. Remove from the stove once the semiya is done.
9. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve.
10.Vermicelli upma ready.
